professor purple just wants a cottage of her own with a garden and art and music and friends and family and a cat, and she wants to never be lonely and never have to force herself to be social, knowing that in a few weeks she'll feel isolated inside the space between her ears.

Now

Professor Purple is shifting her thinking to the awareness that she is not preparing for the rest of her life; she is living her life right now. This is it. This is what I'll tell my grandkids about when I'm old. Relax and breathe and embrace it.

tease

The purpose of this post is to:

1. Not forget how to post.
2. Muse briefly over whether to go public with this blog, i.e. list it on my facebook. Ummmmmmmmmm........

No.

3. Tease my 1.5 loyal readers into thinking I might actually write something profound in the near future.
4. Muse further about going public with my blog: I am often an awful correspondent, so that many of my friends believe I have fallen off the face of the earth, or at least do so for long stretches of time before the pull of gravity inevitably forces my reluctant return to the embodied world.
Indeed, I keep up-to-date on the goings-on of several of those friends by reading their blogs and thinking about how nice it might be to call them.
However, I have very little interest in writing in my blog about day-to-day events which might provide any information about my actual, mundane life such as most of my friends write about (I do not insinuate that their lives are any more mundane than mine; quite the contrary). Instead, my purpose, my need, my neurosis is to write stream-of-consciousness, barely narrative prose pieces which I hope might provide some inspiration and at the very least some diversion for the reader. The more oblique, the less relevant, the more verbose I can be about the large mosquito that I coaxed out my bedroom window several hours ago, the better.
Perhaps I ought to have yet more blogs? And consolidate the ones already created, no doubt. Yes, perhaps...
